Partners Ron Bender and Eve H. Karasik were recognized as the Daily Journal’s 2022 “Top Bankruptcy Lawyers.”
Mr. Bender co-manages LNBYG, “the largest bankruptcy and insolvency practice in California,” and has worked on “something like 500 Chapter 11 cases.” He primarily represents middle-market companies in distress, but also represents buyers, creditors’ committees, and some secured creditors.
Ms. Karasik focuses her national practice on corporate restructuring and bankruptcy, including representation of Chapter 11 debtors, unsecured creditor and equity committees, trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, asset purchasers and parties involved in bankruptcy litigation and appeals. “Diversity is one of her passions . . . as is being active in bankruptcy organizations.” She serves on the executive committee of American Bankruptcy Institute’s (“ABI”) board of directors, is the vice president for diversity and inclusion for ABI, and is a past president of the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum.
