Ms. Karasik is being honored for her professional excellence and exceptional contributions to the fields of bankruptcy and insolvency. Criteria for selection include the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, character, integrity, expertise and leadership, all contributing to the enhancement of the bankruptcy and insolvency practice.
Membership in the College is very select. It now has 900 Fellows, of which one, Gary E. Klausner, senior partner at Levene, Neale, Bender, Yoo & Brill, is also a Fellow.
Ms. Karasik, who was 2015 Century City Bankruptcy Attorney of the Year, focuses her practice on corporate restructuring and bankruptcy including representation of Chapter 11 debtors and other participants in the process. She is also on the Board of Directors of the American Bankruptcy Institute and Executive Committee of the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum.
The College plays an important role in sustaining professional excellence and supports educational and pro bono efforts in communities around the country.
Ms. Karasik will be inducted as a Fellow in the College in ceremonies March 15, in San Diego.
