Kurt Ramlo, a former assistant United States Attorney and Los Angeles native, joined LNBYG in 2013 as Senior Counsel. He provides restructuring counsel to businesses facing financial challenges, including out-of-court and chapter 11 reorganizations, as well as related litigation and transactions. He renders advice on structuring cutting-edge strategies on behalf of public and private debtors, foreign representatives, receivers, shareholders, plan sponsors, third party acquirers, secured and unsecured creditors, creditors’ committees, and post-petition lenders.
Mr. Ramlo is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Financial Lawyers Conference, and Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1993. He is also a member of the federal courts in California’s Central District, Eastern District, Northern District, and Southern District. He earned his law degree in 1993 from the University of California, Davis. He obtained a Bachelor of Music degree in 1990, from California State University, Northridge, with a concentration in music performance on bassoon.
